Student Activities
At Carnegie Mellon, our students work hard inside and outside the classroom. The words of founder Andrew Carnegie, "My heart is in the work", rings true in all aspects of student life. With 17 varsity sports, over 40 club and intramural sports and more than 225 recognized student organizations, there are many opportunities to get involved in creating your college experience. Our organizations represent various social, service, media, academic, spiritual, recreational, sport, religious, political, cultural, and governance opportunities for all students. If you want to see whether or not we have a Grappling Club or Masters of Flying Objects, check out the Student Organization Directory.
Student activities span an extremely wide spectrum. Carnegie Mellon students participate in diverse organizations including: WRCT (the campus radio station which is a completely free format), Spirit (which promotes African American awareness on-campus), the Society for Creative Anachronism (devoted to the study of pre-seventeenth century Western culture), and the Origami Club. You can rest assured that there is an outlet on campus or in Pittsburgh for almost any interest you may have.
ROTC Programs
