Why Carnegie Mellon? I came to the Summer Academy of Math and Sciences and fell in love with the college and city. How did you choose your major? I took the introduction course and had such a good time! The department was so inviting that I just couldn't leave. What do you do for fun during the week, in addition to your homework? I like going to sporting events and making dinner with my friends. Are you planning to work on any research/internships? I have been involved in several research projects in the last year, writing a textbook in sustainable engineering, the environmental impact of nano-particles and how to encourage people to adopt more sustainable life styles. What are your plans after graduation? I plan on finding a job in Water Resources and Management hopefully in the Pittsburgh area. What is your favorite thing to do in Pittsburgh (or favorite place off-campus)? Sporting events. I love the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates! What is your favorite memory of Carnegie Mellon, so far? Booths during Carnival. It's amazing to see a two story structure go up in a week and see all of your hard work pay off. Are there any fun traditions that you want future Carnegie Mellon students to follow? Carnival. It's a fun 4-day event right before finals, it gives me the energy to end the school year right. If there was one thing you could tell a prospective student about Carnegie Mellon, what would it be? There is so much flexibility in the courses you can take. I'm still learning about programs and minors everyday and I'm a senior!
