Recruiting a diverse freshman class takes shape in many different ways. Our efforts to meet prospective students include high school visits, interviews in your hometown and weekend events on campus.

It is our goal to get the word out for you to know which types of events, resources and people are here to help you learn more about Carnegie Mellon and the admission process. Whether you visit campus or attend an information session, use this Web site as a resource to access more information about the university.

Hometown Interviews

Our admission staff is coming to your hometown to conduct forty-five minute, one-on-one interviews, generally held in the lobbies of near-by hotels. If you can't make it to our campus in Pittsburgh, consider registering for a hometown interview. You must register online to meet with an admission counselor. We hope to see you in your hometown!

Hometown Interviews are offered exclusively for high school seniors. If you are a junior, please call our office at 412-268-2082 and give us your name and contact information, as well as the city in which you are interested in interviewing. If space is available closer to the date of the interview, we will try to accommodate you.
