The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (H&SS) is the second largest college at Carnegie Mellon and is often referred to as our liberal arts and professional studies college. It houses over 60 majors/minors and encourages students to explore a wide variety of academic areas.
As a humanities student you will have access to outstanding faculty, as well as an advising network, extensive internship and study abroad opportunities. H&SS is not your traditional liberal arts school, With its interdisciplinary character, you will learn how to research and collaborate with students in other areas of study to develop valuable problem-solving skills.
