Name: Chrissy O’Leary
Year: Senior
Major/Minor: Business/Spanish

Why Carnegie Mellon?
Carnegie Mellon has a great Business program!
How did you choose your major?
After exploring some other academic disciplines, I really liked the Tepper School of Business curriculum.
Do you live on- or off-campus?
I live in a sorority house on-campus. It is a really great option because of the huge rooms!
What do you do for fun during the week, in addition to your homework?
I watch T.V. with my friends… Then there is my guilty pleasure - half-price food runs at night in Oakland.
What is your favorite class? Please describe.
I really enjoy “Oral Communications and Business Communications” because it teaches you to write and speak effectively.
Are you planning to work on any research/internships?
I just completed a marketing internship in Puerto Rico!
What is your favorite thing to do in Pittsburgh (or favorite place off-campus)?
I have a few! Definitely hanging out at The Waterfront, I think the shopping there is great, there is a brand new LOEWS movie theatre and “Sing Sing” the dueling piano bar (if your’re old enough). I also love to walk around Shadyside or South Oakland for a short break.
What are your plans after graduation?
I want to work for a year then go for my MBA.
What is your favorite memory of Carnegie Mellon, so far?
Carnival and Greek Sing!!
Are there any fun traditions that you want future Carnegie Mellon students to follow?
That’s easy – paint the Fence, participate in Carnival, and Greek Sing – Greek Life.
If there was one thing you could tell a prospective student about Carnegie Mellon, what would it be?
Carnegie Mellon is truly a diverse place - you never know who you’ll meet or what you’ll see.
