Carnegie Mellon has always been a pioneer in the field of computer science – it was the first university to offer email, the first to have a campus-wide wireless network and everywhere you look you will find groundbreaking research that is changing the world.
The School of Computer Science (SCS) doesn’t just focus on one area of computer science. All areas are covered in depth and students can study all of them at the undergraduate level. Hands-on work and projects are incorporated into the curriculum and to broaden your academic exposure, every student majoring in computer science is required to have a minor outside of SCS.
